It may surprise you to know that its is more expensive to shop for shampoo, soap, razors and pretty much everything in the women’s aisle in the supermarket. The so called ‘pink tax’. Manufacturers put their standard shampoo in a fancy bottle designed to signal it is for you then they charge you more. Don’t fall for it. Shop in the men’s aisle.
Better still start to drive these products out of your life. Bar soap is much cheaper and more environmentally friendly than liquid soap in a plastic bottle. There are plenty of alternatives to commercial shampoo. Lush is a good option too.
Big costs for women are periods. There are reusable options which have the advantage of being better for you ( fewer unhelpful chemicals), much cheaper especially menstrual cups which will save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds over a lifetime.
